Loren has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas since 2012. Loren currently serves as the Director of Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services at Texoma Community Center which includes oversight of Mental Health and YES Waiver Services. Prior to her role at TCC, Loren was the Director for a Crisis Service Agency and has 13 years of experience in treating individuals in crisis. Loren has experience working with individuals struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, substance use, domestic violence, suicidal ideation/behavior, non suicidal self injury and trauma. Loren primarily utilizes a CBT approach to counseling but integrates multiple theoretical approaches to counseling services. Loren is certified in Trauma Focused CBT. Loren is an trained diagnostician and has experience in psychological testing and assessments.

Loren has been a Licensed Supervisor since 2014 and views LPC Supervision as a way to empower the next generation of Counselors to provide ethical and quality care to consumers. Loren utilizes a combination of teaching, case consultation, and education on LPC Board Rules/Code of Ethics requirements while fostering a relationship of trust and support with associates.

Loren received her BA in Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2008. While at Texas A&M, Loren found her love for crisis while working the Student Counseling Helpline as a volunteer which led her to choose a career in Mental Health. Loren then received her MS in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Texas in 2010.
